The Prieuré Saint-Jean de Bébian, one of the oldest wine estates in Languedoc, is today a reference among the French wines. The domain stretches over 32 hectares, that the Romans already cultivated in the Antiquity. In the 1970s, the estate underwent major transformations. Whereas the old Mediterranean grape varieties (Cinsault, Carignan) were carefully preserved, “noble” grape varieties (Syrah, Grenache) were planted. Since 2004 Karen Turner has 3 preserved the same philosophy of full, sensual wines which make Bébian unique in the Languedoc.
