Defranceschi-SACMI in Vignoble Jade and more precisely in Château Fleur de Lisse elaborated a project which is based on an interesting family story. A family who decided to create an excellent wine project.

In 2015 Patrick Teycheney left the management of the Colisée group and returned to his first love: Bordeaux wine
In the same year, his daughter Caroline left the luxury industry and followed him into the new project.
The family acquired two properties under the name Saint-Emilion Grand Cru: Château Fleur de Lisse and Château L’Etampe, in addition to Château La Loubière, a family estate in Montussan, which has been passionately run by the Teychenery family since 1850.

Finally, in 2018 Vignobles Jade acquired the new organic production terroir of the Saint-Emilion Grand Cru.

As a gift for his daughter “Jade” Patrick decides to group his properties under the name of “Vignoble Jade”, a term which also embodies human virtues.

After the acquisition of land and technical buildings in Saint-Hippolyte, Caroline and Patrick Teycheney embarked on an ambitious project: on the one hand, modernizing production tools to perfectly adapt technical capabilities to soils and, on the other hand, renovating an high-quality building combining tradition and modernity. So, driven by the desire to create a functional but eye-catching cellar, fisrtly they decided to turn to Defranceschi-SACMI.

Secondly, they gathered under Château Fleur de Lisse all the terroirs located in Saint-Emilion. Through this project, they wanted to share their passion for wine and welcome wine lovers with spaces dedicated to tasting and an American stylecozy shop.

Château Fleur de Lisse became the most widely known cellar among all Vignoble Jade terroirs. Where does the name come from? The symbol of the lily is inscribed in the land of this vineyard, something which came from the past: this is the place where the treaty of the end of the Hundred Years’ War was signed. Even the French term linkedto this flower also saw a change in time: first it was « Fleur de Louis » referring to the kings called Louis but then it has evolved arriving to its current spelling Fleur de Lys.

The Fleur de Lys model used by Defranceschi-SACMI in this cellar comes from an ancient medical manual dating from the seventeenth century.

Defranceschi-SACMI in its renovation process has respected the architectural elements with the will to harmonize the existing buildings. Even if aesthetics have not been neglected, the biggest investment has been directed to the technical part. Indeed, Defranceschi-SACMI opted for the use of some valuable and resistant materials suitable for every function.
The winery, which first harvested in September 2020, was officially opened in November 2021.
